Roger Coolbear – Rusticmania
With over thirty years of experience in forestry and tree surgery, I have cultivated a deep connection to nature and wood. I currently manage a woodland in West Sussex, where my carving studio thrives. My background in woodland management ensures I source sustainable timber, either from the woods I manage or through trusted firewood merchants.
For the past three years, I’ve focused on chainsaw carvings and wood sculptures, blending my passion for art with my technical skills as an experienced welder and rustic furniture maker. My artistic journey began in childhood with painting and drawing, and I've since embraced pyrography to create unique pet portraits and wildlife images on wood. I also craft beautiful rustic wooden furniture and of course chainsaw carving, celebrating the beauty of natural materials in every piece.
