This piece was commissioned by Sam, who loves Savannah cats and beekeeping. I carved the cat from ash and added markings with pyrography. The bee was made from oak, steel, wire and resin. The idea was to make them interact. The bee landing on the cat's paw, and them looking at each other. The finished sculpture is mounted on sandstone and installed in Sam's garden. The photos show the journey from sketch to final piece.
